The State of European Managed Services, is a new report from The 2112 Group and Barracuda MSP, and it shows more European organizations are turning to the IT channel for help in the form of managed services. Fear of falling victim to a cyberattack and concerns about compliance and regulations, such as GDPR, are two of the main drivers behind this trend.
The research, which surveyed IT channel businesses from the UK, Ireland, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, Luxembourg, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and Austria, shows that recurring revenue from managed services is the top growth driver for channel organizations of all types. Respondents pointed to managed security services in particular as a signficant opportunity in the channel.
Here are a few highlights from the report:
- 91 percent of respondents report revenue from managed services
- 45 percent already offer managed security services or plan to add it in the next 12 months
- 37 percent of the solution providers surveyed are considering adding managed security services
