Were you at XChange 2016 last week? Intronis had a big team attend the Channel Company’s event in San Antonio, Texas, and we had plenty of exciting new products and features to discuss at the show!
This year, our team at XChange included Neal Bradbury, senior director of business development; Nathan Bradbury, manager of solution engineering; Erin Shaw-Crowley, event marketing manager; and David Kern, partner success manager.
We had our Recharge Lounge set up in the main conference area with two charging stations. This gave attendees plenty of space to catch up on emails, charge their devices, and chat about the new offerings Intronis has. Our Recharge Lounge also included a running demo video where we could give attendees a look at how those new products work. And, as always we handed out some great swag, including our Data Loss Gremlin tees, which are always an event favorite.
Partner that made a splash
We were joined by a great crew from Waterdog Technologies, one of our partners. They took a 32-hour drive down from Springfield, Mass., with their dogs Crosby and Bimota. Waterdog hosted a very impressive demo room, which was a highlight of the conference for us. The New England-themed room, which they dubbed “The Waterdog Lobster Shack,” was fully stocked with New England craft beers, lobster sandwiches, authentic New England clam chowder and Maine Wicked Whoopie Pies. It was great to see Waterdog’s dedication to bringing New England flare to Texas!
As you can see, their room also featured some pretty crazy demonstrations of what NOT to do with your data. (Yes, that sign says: “Do not use desktop computer on toilet!”) Crosby and Bimota, who are both service dogs, even walked around the conference wearing Waterdog-branded gear to help generate interest in the demo room.
Emphasizing security offerings
At our cloud and managed service boardroom, Neil Bradbury spent some time talking to our attendees about our backup offerings. Many of the people we chatted with were intrigued to hear about the simplicity of the MSP pricing for Barracuda Backup – Intronis MSP Edition compared to what they’re using today.
Something new and exciting for the Intronis team this year was our security-focused boardroom. This sessions really sparked some great discussions about what our firewalls do and how our email security for Office 365 compares to other offerings out there.
Nathan Bradbury also offered a free email threat scan, and a few of the attendees took us up on the offer. One of our guests thought that his Office 365 emails were secure, but when he did the scan, they found a number of threats that had slipped through. Another attendee asked us to do the scan and send the results directly to his CTO!
Overall the Intronis Team had an excellent time at XChange 2016. This year’s attendees got a chance to see Intronis as a complete security and data protection offering instead of just being focused on backup and disaster recovery. We look forward to attending again next year, and we hope everyone enjoyed all the treats that were handed out throughout the event!
