Have you ever looked around your office and thought that things looked a little dull? Do you wish those bland white walls were a little more interesting or that you had somewhere a bit more grand to sit and think? Well, these three office workers felt the same way and decided to do something about it. And tech geeks will love the ways they did it.
1. Pixelated Superheroes
Ben Brucker, who works at a creative agency, got tired of the boring walls at his office and decided to spruce them up with a little art. But what he did went way beyond just hanging a few pictures. He decided to make a giant superhero mural—using Post-It notes.
According to Ben’s Reddit post, it took 8,024 Post-It notes to build the mural, which cost about $300 all together. He went into office over the weekend, and it took a full day to complete (with the help of quite a few coworkers and friends). But the awesome results say it was all worth it.
2. The Ultimate IT Throne
Another Reddit user, jonat1992, had some time on his hands and decided to build an impressive throne out of old PC towers and computer monitors. We’re not sure how comfortable it is to sit on, but it’s hard to argue with him about who is the true king of the IT department.
3. Out-of-this-world office building
But the true winner of this competition is the founder of the online game developer NetDragon Websoft. Liu Dejian is reportedly one of the wealthiest men in China and clearly a big Star Trek fan. He spent roughly $100 million to build an office that looks like the U.S.S. Enterprise for the company’s new headquarters.
